Hdd Broadband and HDD Inc. are once again offering a $5,000 scholarship from each company to assist high school seniors who wish to attend a 2 year tech program in lieu of pursuing a 4 year college degree. The award is for $2,500 per year for each of the two years that the student is active in a qualified tech program. These scholarships are granted based on criteria set forth by the school guidance personnel and our companies. We began awarding the scholarships last year and will continue this year and into the future. Please encourage seniors in the area to speak with school officials if they intend to pursue a 2 year degree in such fields as IT, Computer Programming, Auto Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics, and a number of other “hands on” tech programs.
HDD Broadband is moving along into Tallapoosa County and into the Reeltown area this year and over the next few years so we hope to work with the faculty and staff at Reeltown to make Technical college scholarship offerings for Reeltown seniors beginning in 2024.
